Just a week into the season, Prince George’s Austin Geier has been named NJCAA’s Division III Goalkeeper of the week after recording a shutout in both of the Owls first two games.
Geier has collected 9 saves through 180 minutes of play to keep a clean slate for the Owls this season. Of those 9 saves, 6 came in a matchup on August 29th against a tough NOVA team in which the Owls early one goal lead was protected by Geier to secure a 1-0 victory.
The freshman from Waldorf, Maryland has allowed zero goals through two games en route to leading his team to a perfect 2-0 record, including 1-0 in Maryland JUCO play. Geier will look to continue his impressive freshman campaign when the Owls travel to CCBC Catonsville tomorrow, September 5th at 5 p.m.
