Men's Soccer earned another Maryland JUCO victory when the Owls visited Carroll Community College Thursday September 12th which resulted in a 3-1 win for Prince George's Community College. Sophomore Chris Garcia recorded both his 2nd and 3rd goals of the season for the Owls.
Prince George's picked up right where they had left off, with sophomore Temilolu Idowu scoring his second goal of the season just 2 minutes and 40 seconds into the match. The Owls (4-0-1, 3-0-1) continued with their offensive attack which allowed Chris Garcia to score two more goals to put the Owls up 3-0 at the 29th minute. The Lynx (2-3-0, 2-3-0) responded with a goal in the 44th minute to bring the score to 3-1.
Prince George's held strong in the second half, allowing the Lynx to fire off only three shots while the Owls created eleven shots. Neither team was able to score in the final 45 minutes which led to a 3-1 Owls win. Up next for Prince George's Owls is a home match against MD JUCO opponent Cecil College (0-2-0, 0-2-0) Tuesday September 17th, kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
