Lady Owls Fall at Home to Allegheny County, 58-44

Prince George's Community College women's basketball dropped its first home contest of 2026 on Wednesday afternoon, falling to the Community College of Allegheny County, 58-44.

The Lady Owls found themselves playing from behind early and trailed for the entirety of the contest as the Wildcats steadily built their advantage. Allegheny pushed the lead to as many as 16 points at one point during the third quarter, controlling the tempo on both ends of the floor. Prince George's battled throughout and matched the Wildcats in the second quartet, which ended in a 10-10 tie, but Allegheny outscored the Owls in the remaining two quarters.

Despite the setback, freshman Lailah Bah delivered her strongest performance of the season, pouring in a team-high 19 points. Bah was efficient from long range, knocking down 5-of-7 attempts from beyond the arc. Nine different Lady Owls saw action in the contest as the team looked to generate any new spark.

Prince Geore's will need to regroup quickly as Region 20 divisional play continues in their next matchup, a road contest against Howard Community College on Friday for a 12 noon tip-off.
