The Prince George's Community College men's basketball team is headed to the national stage after claiming the Mid-Atlantic District Title, earning them the No. 18 seed in the National Championship Tournament, set to take place March 16-21 in Danille, Illinois.
The Owls are one of eight programs nationwide scheduled to compete in the tournament's opening round on Monday, March 16. Prince George's will face No. 15 seed SUNY Orange in its first-round matchup, with tip-off scheduled for 4 PM EST.
The national tournament features 20 teams, with the top 12 seeds receiving first-round byes and beginning play in the second round. As an opening-round participant, the Owls will need to make a deep run through the bracket to contend for the national title. To reach Saturday's Championship game, Prince George's will need to win five games in six days to be crowned National Champions.
All tournament games, including consolation matchups, will be broadcast on the NJCAA Network, with pay-per-view package options available throughout the week.
